Sophie Rose (they/she) is a New York-based director, photographer, and writer whose studio bridges art, film, and commercial worlds. They hold a BA in English from UCLA and studied Film at Columbia University.

Their award-winning portfolio includes Vogue, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Equinox, Hennessy, Elite Model Management, Heroes Model Management, and more.

Their debut feature, The Feeling Remains, has been recognized by the Berlin Indie Film Festival (Best Original Score), the New York City Independent Film Festival, New York Film Week, the Swedish International Film Festival, and the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival.

Sophie’s analogue self-portrait series, By the Grace of God, By the Skin of My Teeth, documents a year in sobriety, examining the performance of identity, the multitudes within the self, and photography’s power to reveal and deceive.
